In June 2008, the IMLS Insitute was pleased to welcome eleven students to its premises, coming from "Texas Tech University", as well as two of their professors. Within the framework of the provision of its many services, the institute took on the search for accommodation for the students, housed with host families, as well as for the their professors, lodged in residences. Moreover, it put its classrooms and its educational tools at their disposal, facilitating in this way their study abroad program. The school's attention and organizational spirit permitted the professors to find an atmosphere favourable to the teaching and the discovery of the French language and culture.
The American students showed a strong interest in the life of Montpellier and its festivals, such as the International Festival of Dance. The visits to historical sites, athletics and the cultural summer events allowed them to explore all aspects of Montpellier its surroundings (as far as Spain). Each student expressed oneself on the blog http://ttumontpellier.blogspot.com/ , which is their creation. You can also see the photos which were taken at the farewell party which allowed the reuniting of everyone having contributed to the success of this immersion program.
